Gunma Foreign children's mental Support Coordinator

Supporting foreign children in the community !

We support the "mental health" of foreign children and their families.

We try to catch the SOS signals from children on mental problems and try to understand their feelings.

If necessary, we can also help finding appropriate support and solutions for them.

we are near you!

We mental support coordinators are located all over the Gunma prefecture.

Through the training courses so far, about 60 coordinators have been born, and they are people from various positions and occupations.

what can we do for you?

We will volunteer the following activities for foreign children and their families.

  1. We will listen their problems non-judgmentally.
  2. We will figure out problem-solving together as much as possible.
  3. If necessary, we will assist you in using specialized support agencies.

How to meet us?

It is not always possible to meet a mental support coordinator in your area, but if you would like to meet, please contact us once.

Mental support coordinators carry out activities according to their living conditions (it's very important to keep our position as volunteers).

Depending on their living conditions, some people "can actually receive consultation" and others "stay at the stage of learning knowledge". Like so the actual situation varies.

However, it is certain that the "ring of support" is expanding. And more to push that stream, we continuously focus on the training courses.

You can also be a coordinator!

Mental Support Coordinators are those who participated in more than 80% of the training courses each year.

There is no qualification to participate. Anyone can take this course (however, since the course is in Japanese, it is intended for those who can understand Japanese to some extent).

Please contact us once if you are interested.

Training Course

In the training course, you will learn "basic knowledge and how to support" about mental illness.

In particular, you will learn the meaning and role of volunteer activities as a coordinator and learn "what we can do".
